Good morning Newtown High School! Today is Flawless Friday, October 19th, 2018, and it’s a C day! The order is 5, 6, 7, 8, 1, 2. Please stop in the hallways and stand for the pledge.

I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United States of America. And to the republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Please remain standing for a moment of silence. (10 s)

Thank you!

The Game Design club will be hosting a Smash Bros. tournament after school today starting at 2:45 in room A110. All students are welcome to play. See Mr. Burgess with questions. Want to play your teachers in a basketball tournament? Sign up for the Student vs. Staff Basketball Game on October 30th, Tuesday of Spirit Week! Come to the gym at 6:30 PM with your team, ready to participate in the tournament. It costs twenty dollars for a team of five to seven people, and only three dollars to watch. Sign up in the main office or on the Google Form in the Hawks Nest. Concessions will be sold and prizes will be given out for the winners of the halftime knockout game. See you there!

Do you have a lot of old books taking up space in your home? Well instead of letting them sit there unused, donate them to kids who lack these important resources. More than a Book Club is having a book drive that works to spread the amazing action of reading. You may donate books from a K through 6 level, and the donation box can be found in the front of the library.

Students parking in the Upper F-Wing or Oak View areas will be able to enter the back F-Wing doors by the cafetorium from 7:30-8:00 AM where a security guard will be stationed. If you arrive after 8:00 AM, you will have to walk around to the front of the building.

Thank you and have a flawless Friday!
