Good morning Newtown High School! Today is Thrashing Thursday April 12, 2018, and it's a G day! The order is 2, 1, 8, 7, 6, 5.  Please stop in the hallways and stand for the pledge.

Seniors, this is a reminder that prom tickets are being sold this week and the week after spring break in old cafe during all lunch waves. If you paid for your ticket in your senior dues, then all you need to do is fill out the information sheet that was emailed to you before picking up your ticket!  If you did not pay for your ticket in your dues, the cost is $75. Again, senior prom ticket sales and pickups are in old cafe every wave this week. 

Attention Best Buddies: Today’s chapter meeting will be in the side gym! Make sure to bring comfortable shoes for kickball day. Again, Best Buddies, today’s chapter meeting is in the side gym! 

RISING JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Are you interested in becoming a Link Crew Leader for the 2018-2019 school year? Join us for a brief informational meeting about applications today at 2:35PM in the Main Gym! CONTACT: Mrs. Lombardo, Mr. O’Connell, or Mrs. Kapitan if you have any questions!

Current statistic show that 1 in 42 boys are diagnosed with Autism and this is possibly still a low estimate! Help us solve the autism puzzle and purchase an autism puzzle piece pin to show your support from the junior team!!! Thank you. 

Peer Leadership will be hosting a gently used sports equipment drive to benefit an underfunded school called Harding High School in Bridgeport until April 27th! The collection boxes will be located in the NYA. Your participation would be greatly appreciated!

The Environmental Club will be meeting today after school in room A202 to work on our table for the Earth Day Festival. Anyone interested in helping is welcome.

The Jr Newtown Action Alliance will be holding a meeting on Thursday, April 12th from 2:30-3:30 in Room B264 to continue to plan our actions to #EndGunViolence. Anyone who is interested should attend. 

Relay For Life is looking for a clean up crew!! If you are interested in helping with clean up for Relay For Life on June 17 from 4:30 AM ~ 6:30 AM at NHS Blue and Gold Stadium please see Mrs. Marti in the school counseling office. Community service  hours will be given!
